Jonathan and Janine have now been at The Sandpiper Inn for over 25 years, during which time they have built close relationships with trusted local suppliers.

Before establishing The Sandpiper Inn, Jonathan won the prestigious Roux Scholarship, which led to his appointment as Chef de Cuisine at Birmingham’s only five-star hotel. Leading a team of 32 chefs, he created the menu for the heads of state at the G8 summit banquet held at the city’s Botanical Gardens.

Since then, The Sandpiper Inn has received numerous accolades, including Yorkshire Life Dining Pub of the Year and Gastro Pub Top 100. The inn is also proudly featured in the Michelin Guide, further cementing its reputation as a must-visit dining destination.

With its award-winning cuisine and warm, traditional charm, The Sandpiper Inn offers an undoubtedly desirable place to dine whilst visiting the Dales.
